This dataset shows the results of a curvature analysis for the metro lines (in the sample example of Paris Metro's line 14).
The curvature radius is computed on each segment of the metro line's geographical path. The curvature radius on each segment is interpolated from the curvature radius on the segment bounds since only a series of points on the path is available. Please check out our tutorial for a detailed explanation of the calculations.

The curvature radius at a given point (column "circumradius") is approximated by the circumradius of the triangle formed with the surrounding points (see metro curvature tutorial). It is arbitrarily set as 100 km for the first and last points of the line.
The curvature radius of a section of the line (column "curve_radius") is defined as the harmonic mean of the curvature radius of the current point (as defined above) and the next one.
